We are Friends of Goit Stock Wood, a group of local residents in West Yorkshire, who support Goit Stock Wood.
Goit Stock Wood is a 70-acre ancient woodland and home of the beautiful Goit Stock Waterfall

In February, we held a litter pick in the wood, and collected 5 bags of rubbish (including a 26 year old beer can!) and a broken pushchair.
In March, we purchased timber to make 15 bat nesting boxes, which were assembled for us by Wilsden Scouts. We'll be putting these up in the wood in April.

In summer 2025, we organised a campaign to try and purchase Goit Stock Wood as a community asset. Unfortunately this was ultimately not successful, but we're still here and working to make sure that Goit Stock Wood is looked after. Read more about us.
