We are Friends of Goit Stock Wood, a group of local residents in West Yorkshire, who support Goit Stock Wood.
Goit Stock Wood is a 70-acre ancient woodland and home of the beautiful Goit Stock Waterfall

14 November 2025: Community purchase campaign comes to an end
Over the summer, we attempted to fundraise £195,000 to buy Goit Stock Wood so it could be community owned. While we successfully raised £35,000, this was a long way from our target. After exploring other potential options, we have now concluded that we won't be able to buy the wood.
We would like to explore other ways we can support Goit Stock Wood without owning it, similar to other "Friends of" groups in the local area. We would like to invite anyone intersted to join us at the Malt Shovel on Wednesday 3 December to discuss the future of Friends of Goit Stock Wood.
