9 April 2025: We have submitted our application to form a registered charity. The next step is to plan our fundraising. Could you help us? Fire risk!
After weeks of dry weather, our local woodlands are vulnerable to wild fires, which can be very damaging. On 8 April there was a fire at Cottlingley Woods, just up the road from Goit Stock, which burned a large area of woodland.
Never use barbecues or other fires in the woods, and do not drop cigarette butts or other litter. More information is available from West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service
